Faith Between the Walls
Scripture: Exodus 14
The Israelites found themselves trapped. Mountains surrounded them. Pharaoh's army was approaching from behind. The Red Sea blocked their path ahead. Humanly speaking, there was no way out.
Have you ever felt that way? Perhaps you've faced a situation where every door seemed closed and every option appeared exhausted. Those moments reveal whether our faith rests in circumstances or in God.
The Israelites panicked because they focused on what they could see. Moses remained calm because he focused on Who he knew. His words still encourage believers today: "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord."
God often allows us to stand between impossible situations and miraculous solutions. Why? Because miracles require impossibilities. If there had been a bridge over the Red Sea, there would have been no need for divine intervention.
Notice that God did not remove the sea immediately. He first called His people to trust Him. Sometimes God doesn't calm the storm right away because He wants to strengthen our faith first. The obstacle before you may actually be the stage upon which God plans to display His power.
When Moses stretched out the rod, the waters parted. The same sea that appeared to be a barrier became a pathway. What looked like a dead end became a doorway.
Your Red Sea may be financial pressure, family struggles, health concerns, or ministry challenges. Whatever it is, remember that God has never been limited by what limits you.
The same God who parted the sea still makes a way where there seems to be no way. Don't let fear dictate your response. Stand still, trust God, and watch Him work.
Reflection Questions:
What "Red Sea" are you currently facing?
Are you focusing more on the obstacle or on God's ability?
Prayer:
Father, when I feel trapped by circumstances, help me remember Your power. Strengthen my faith and teach me to trust You even when I cannot see a solution. Thank You for making a way where there seems to be no way. Amen.a
