Your Life Should Look Different

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Following Jesus changes people.

Not instantly in every area. Not without struggles. Not without occasional failures.
But change happens.

Our desires begin changing. Our attitudes begin changing. Things that once seemed normal begin bothering our conscience. We become more aware of sin and increasingly hungry for righteousness.

That is the transforming work of Christ.

A genuine Christian is not someone who never struggles. A genuine Christian is someone whom Jesus is continually transforming.

There should be a difference between who we were before Christ and who we are becoming in Christ.

We shouldn't measure our spiritual lives by comparing ourselves with someone else. Instead, look backward.
Are you more like Jesus today than you were a year ago?

That is the evidence we should desire.

Think About It: Where can you see evidence that Jesus has changed you? Where is He still working?

Prayer: Lord, continue changing me. Remove anything that does not reflect You and develop within me the character of Christ. Let others see evidence of Your transforming power in my life. Amen.
