Seeing the Power, Purpose, and Presence of God Through Miracles
Miracles throughout Scripture remind us that God is not limited by what limits us. He parts seas, heals diseases, multiplies provision, calms storms, and even raises the dead. Yet biblical miracles are never merely displays of power. They reveal God's character, confirm His Word, strengthen faith, and ultimately point us to Jesus Christ.
When There Seems to Be No Way
Scripture:
"And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD..." — Exodus 14:13
Israel stood trapped.
The Red Sea was before them. Pharaoh's army was behind them. From a human perspective, there was no escape.
But what looked like a dead end to Israel became the setting for one of the greatest miracles in Scripture.
God told Moses to stretch out his rod, and the Lord divided the sea. Israel walked across on dry ground.
Sometimes God allows us to reach a place where our own strength, wisdom, resources, and abilities cannot solve the problem. Those moments remind us that our confidence was never supposed to rest in ourselves.
Israel couldn't part the sea.
Moses couldn't manufacture a path.
God had to make the way.
Maybe you're facing your own "Red Sea." You don't see an answer. You don't know what happens next. Everything appears impossible.
Don't assume that because you cannot see a way, there isn't one.
God does not always remove the obstacle. Sometimes He demonstrates His power right in the middle of it.
The same God who opened the Red Sea is still sovereign today. We should never demand that God perform a miracle according to our timetable or desires, but we can confidently trust His power and His purposes.
When you reach the end of what you can do, remember: God has not reached the end of what He can do.
