Hope That Goes Beyond

Scripture:
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
— Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

Easter is the celebration of hope fulfilled. It is the reminder that what looked finished on Friday was only the beginning by Sunday. When Jesus rose from the grave, He didn’t just conquer death—He opened the door to a living, lasting hope.

Ephesians 3:20, Paul reminds us that God is able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” That means our hope is not limited by our circumstances, our understanding, or even our imagination.

The resurrection proves this truth.
No one expected the stone to roll away.
No one imagined death could be defeated.
No one fully grasped what God was about to do.
Yet God did more.
And that same resurrection power is still at work in us.

Because He lives, your hope is not based on what you see—it’s based on what God can do. When situations seem sealed, when prayers feel unanswered, when the future looks uncertain, Easter reminds us: God specializes in going beyond.
Beyond your fear
Beyond your failure
Beyond your limitations

Your hope is not fragile—it is fueled by resurrection power.

Reflection Questions:
What situation in your life feels beyond hope right now?
How does the resurrection challenge your expectations of what God can do?
Are you trusting God only for what you can imagine—or for what He is able to do beyond that?

Prayer:
Risen Lord, thank You that my hope is alive because You are alive. Help me to trust You beyond what I can see or understand. Strengthen my faith to believe that You are able to do more than I could ever ask or think. Let Your resurrection power work in me and through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
