YOUR PAIN CAN HELP SOMEONE ELSE

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:3–4
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble.”

One of the most beautiful things God can do with our pain is turn it into compassion.

People who have walked through valleys often recognize others walking through valleys.

They notice the person sitting quietly.

They understand the tears someone is trying to hide.

They know that sometimes people don't need another explanation—they simply need someone who understands.

Paul tells us that God comforts us so that we can comfort others.

That means God's comfort isn't meant to stop with us.

Your experience may eventually become someone else's encouragement.

The battle with anxiety may help you recognize someone silently struggling.

The loss you endured may help you sit beside someone grieving.

The disappointment you survived may allow you to tell someone else, “I've been there, and God carried me.”

You don't have to have all the answers to help someone.

Sometimes your greatest ministry is simply being able to say:
“I understand.”
“I'm praying for you.”
“You're not walking through this alone.”
“God was faithful to me, and I believe He will be faithful to you.”

God can turn wounds into wisdom and suffering into service.

LIFE APPLICATION TAKE-AWAY
Don't hide every scar. Ask God whether someone around you needs the encouragement you learned through your own difficult season. Your pain may become part of your ministry.
