When Jesus Becomes More Than Sunday
Scripture: Colossians 3:17 —
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Following Jesus cannot be confined to one day of the week.
Sunday worship matters. Gathering with believers matters. Hearing God's Word matters. But Christianity was never designed to remain inside a church building.
Jesus wants Monday.
He wants the way we conduct ourselves at work. He wants our conversations when nobody from church is listening. He wants our entertainment choices, financial decisions, relationships, private thoughts, and reactions when someone treats us unfairly.
In other words, Jesus wants all of us.
One of the greatest dangers in Christianity is learning how to live two separate lives—a spiritual life and an everyday life.
For the genuine follower of Jesus, there should eventually be no separation.
Christ becomes part of everything.
Think About It: Is there an area of your life where you have unintentionally told Jesus, “You can have everything except this”?
Prayer: Lord, I don't want You to be part of my life only on Sunday. Be Lord over every part of me—my relationships, decisions, thoughts, work, and future. Amen.
