The Miracle in the Manna

Series:
"Strength in the Stress: Lessons from the Wilderness"
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 8:2–3 — "And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna… that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live."
Devotion: "He fed thee with manna." The Israelites' anxiety over food became the backdrop for God's unwavering faithfulness. Manna served as a heavenly reminder that stress cannot starve the soul that firmly trusts in God's provision, highlighting His ability to meet our needs in any circumstance.
When faced with financial, relationship, or future uncertainties, remember that God continues to provide daily sustenance. While you may not possess everything you want, you will always have what you need. This assurance is a testament to His unfailing commitment to care for you.
Your own "manna" might arrive through unexpected channels—a kind word from a friend, a door that opens at just the right time, or a renewed sense of strength. Although the stress may persist, the Sustainer remains. He is always present, offering support and encouragement even in the most trying of times.
Prayer:
"Thank You, Lord, for the manna You send in my moments of stress. Help me to recognize Your provision even in pressure."
