The Habit of Kingdom-Centered Prayer
Scripture: “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9–10,)
The Lord’s Prayer is not just a pattern but a pathway for daily devotion. Spiritual habits mature when our prayers begin with God’s glory, His kingdom, and His will. Too often, prayer begins with our needs; Jesus redirects us to first align with heaven’s priorities.
Kingdom-centered prayer teaches us to live for something bigger than ourselves. When the habit of prayer prioritizes His name, His kingdom, and His will, our requests become shaped by eternal realities. This praying transforms us into people who reflect heaven on earth.
Prayer:
Our Father, hallowed be Thy name in my life today. Let Your kingdom come in my home, church, and community. Teach me to align my will with Yours and to live for what is eternal. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
