The Fruit of Faithfulness!
Daily Devotion by Pastor Shane - September 16, 2025

Scripture:
“For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 1:8
Devotional Thought:
Faithfulness is not silent—it bears fruit. When the qualities Peter describes (virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity) are present and growing, they produce a vibrant life that glorifies Christ. Fruitfulness is the outward evidence of inward faith.
An unfaithful life is barren, empty of joy and testimony. But a faithful life, cultivated by the Spirit, overflows with good works, wise decisions, and a Christlike spirit. The fruit of faithfulness impacts others—encouraging believers, drawing the lost, and glorifying God. Our faith is not only for our benefit but also for the blessing of others.
Life Applications:
- Ask God to help you display Christlike qualities in your family, workplace, and community.
- Examine your life—are you bearing fruit that points others to Christ?
- Practice brotherly kindness and love in real, tangible ways this week.
Reflection:
- What fruit of faithfulness is most evident in my life right now?
- Where might God be calling me to bear more fruit through service or love?
Faithfulness blossoms into fruitfulness that blesses others and glorifies God.
Prayer:
Father, let my faith never be barren. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my life may bear fruit for Your kingdom. Help me to show love, patience, and kindness, and let others see Christ in me. Amen.
