Nothing Is Too Hard for God
Scripture:
"Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:" — Jeremiah 32:17
We use the word "impossible" frequently.
Impossible diagnosis.
Impossible financial situation.
Impossible relationship.
Impossible obstacle.
Impossible future.
But "impossible" is a human word describing human limitations.
Jeremiah prayed to the God who created heaven and earth and declared:
"There is nothing too hard for thee."
Scripture repeatedly demonstrates this truth.
God gave Abraham and Sarah a son when human circumstances said it was impossible.
God divided the Red Sea.
God brought down the walls of Jericho.
God provided manna in the wilderness.
Jesus opened blind eyes.
He cleansed lepers.
He caused the lame to walk.
He raised the dead.
And ultimately, Jesus Christ rose triumphantly from the grave.
Biblical faith does not mean believing God will perform every miracle we request. Faith means believing God is able even when we don't know what He will choose to do.
There is an important difference.
We don't dictate God's will through faith. We submit ourselves to His will through faith.
God may change the situation.
God may change us within the situation.
God may answer immediately.
God may tell us to wait.
God may accomplish something completely different from what we expected.
But whatever He chooses, His power remains unlimited, His wisdom remains perfect, and His character remains trustworthy.
So pray boldly.
Believe deeply.
Trust completely.
And leave the outcome in God's hands.
Reflection Question:
What have you labeled "impossible" that you need to place back into God's hands?
Daily Takeaway:
What is impossible for me is never beyond the power of God.
