No Other Name!

Scripture:

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12

Devotion:

In a world filled with countless voices claiming to offer hope, peace, or fulfillment, Scripture cuts through the noise with a clear and exclusive truth: salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. Peter, standing before the religious leaders in Acts 4, declared boldly that there is no other name under heaven that can save us.

First, this verse speaks of the exclusivity of Christ. Salvation is not in religion, rituals, or personal goodness. It is not found in philosophy or self-help. It is only in Jesus—His death, burial, and resurrection. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Second, this verse reveals the sufficiency of Christ. We need not look elsewhere or add anything to His finished work. His blood is enough to cleanse every sin. His power is enough to break every chain. His name is enough to secure eternal life for all who believe.

Third, this verse reminds us of the urgency of Christ. If Jesus is the only way, then every person needs Him. The gospel is not just good news; it is the only news that can rescue lost souls. That truth should stir our hearts to worship Him sincerely and to share Him boldly.

Lord Jesus, I thank You that salvation is found in You alone. Help me never to trust in my own works, but to rest in Your finished work on the cross. Give me boldness to proclaim Your name to those who are lost, and remind me daily that You are the only way to eternal life. May my heart always rejoice in the power of Your name.
