God Is Closest in the Quiet

Scripture: Psalm 46:10

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

We often fill every quiet moment with noise—music, television, social media, or endless scrolling. Yet God frequently speaks most clearly in stillness.

Elijah expected God in the wind, earthquake, and fire, but the Lord came through a still small voice. Sometimes loneliness creates the silence necessary for us to hear God more clearly than ever before.
Rather than fearing quiet moments, embrace them as opportunities to grow in your relationship with Christ. His voice calms anxious hearts and reminds us we are never alone.
