GOD CALLS YOU HIS MASTERPIECE
Scripture: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works."
— Ephesians 2:10
Masterpieces rarely look like masterpieces while they're being created.
Imagine standing beside an artist halfway through a painting. There may be unfinished sections, strange colors, incomplete lines, and details that don't seem to make sense.
You might wonder, "What is this supposed to become?"
But the artist knows.
Sometimes our lives feel exactly like that.
God is working, but we don't understand what He's doing. Certain pieces don't seem to fit. Some seasons feel unfinished. We look at ourselves and see an incomplete picture.
But Ephesians 2:10 says,
"We are his workmanship."
The Greek word behind "workmanship" carries the idea of something made or crafted. Your life is in the hands of the Master Craftsman.
You aren't God's discarded project.
You're His workmanship.
Even the areas where you're still struggling don't mean God has abandoned His work in you.
Think about Peter. He could be impulsive, outspoken, and inconsistent. He even denied Jesus three times. Yet Jesus saw beyond Peter's present weaknesses to the man he would become.
God does the same with us.
You see where you are.
God sees where He's taking you.
You see unfinished areas.
God sees the completed picture.
So don't give up on yourself while God is still working.
The Master isn't finished.
APPLICATION TAKEAWAY
Give God permission to keep working on the unfinished areas of your life. Instead of saying, "I'll never change," begin saying, "God isn't finished with me yet." Trust the Artist even when you can't understand the picture He's creating.
