DAY 14 — Gifts for the King
Scripture: “…and presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.” — Matthew 2:11 (KJV)
The wise men presented three gifts to the Christ child, each richly symbolic of His identity and purpose. Gold represented His kingship, acknowledging Him as the sovereign ruler. Frankincense symbolized His divinity, highlighting His nature as the Son of God. Myrrh, often associated with burial and sacrifice, foreshadowed His ultimate sacrifice for humanity. These gifts were not mere tokens; they were precious treasures offered from the heart.
The act of giving at Christmas transcends the concept of receiving; it invites us to offer our very best to Christ. Our worship, obedience, time, and love are gifts worthy of the King. Just as the wise men presented their finest treasures, we too are called to give God our best offerings. This season serves as a reminder that true generosity arises from a heart filled with gratitude and devotion. It is about recognizing the greatness of the gift we have received and responding in kind.

2. How can these gifts reflect your love and devotion?
