Everything We Need

Scripture:  2 Peter 1:3-4

³ According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: ⁴ Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Devotional:
Many believers spend their lives searching for something they think is missing. We often feel inadequate, unprepared, or unequipped for the challenges we face. Yet Peter reminds us that God has already provided everything we need for life and godliness through our relationship with Jesus Christ.

This does not mean life will be easy. It means God has supplied the spiritual resources necessary to walk faithfully through every season. His Word provides wisdom. His Spirit provides power. His promises provide hope.

The Christian life is not about trying harder in our own strength. It is about trusting what God has already provided. Through Christ, we are no longer slaves to the corruption of this world. We have been invited to share in His divine nature and live differently.

When temptation comes, God has provided strength. When confusion arises, God has provided truth. When fear threatens, God has provided peace. Everything we need is found in Him.

Are you trying to live the Christian life through your own strength, or are you relying on what God has already provided?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for supplying everything I need to live for You. Help me trust Your promises and walk in Your strength today. Amen.
