Called To Be Clean!

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:16

“Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Devotion:

Holiness is not optional—it is the calling of every believer. God’s standard for His children has never changed. Holiness means being set apart for His purpose, living differently from the world because we belong to Him.

We live in an era where moral lines are blurred and compromise is commonplace. Yet, the child of God must stand out—not in arrogance but in obedience. Holiness is not about perfection but about direction; it’s about moving toward God, away from sin, and walking in the light of His Word.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a pure life in a corrupt culture. As we draw near to God, He refines our hearts, reshapes our desires, and restores our witness. The more we love Him, the less we long for the world.

Prayer:

Lord, purify my heart and cleanse my thoughts. Help me to walk in holiness, not in my own strength but by the power of Your Spirit. May my life reflect Your character and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
