When the World Shakes, God Remains

Every generation experiences moments that seem to redefine history. Wars, economic uncertainty, pandemics, natural disasters, political division, and cultural unrest remind us that this world is fragile. The headlines change daily, but the anxiety they produce often remains.

It is easy to believe that everything is falling apart. Yet Psalm 46 paints a completely different picture. Even if mountains collapse into the sea and the earth gives way beneath our feet, God remains our refuge. While the world trembles, heaven's throne never shakes.

Our peace is not rooted in stable circumstances but in an unchanging God. Governments rise and fall. Markets fluctuate. Public opinion changes overnight. But God's character never changes. His promises never expire. His sovereignty is never threatened.

The enemy wants believers consumed by fear because fearful people often lose sight of God's faithfulness. But Scripture repeatedly reminds us to lift our eyes above earthly circumstances and fix them upon the Lord.
When chaos surrounds you, remember that God has not surrendered His authority. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Every moment of history unfolds beneath His sovereign hand.

Instead of allowing today's news to determine your outlook, allow God's Word to shape your perspective. The One who rules the universe is also the One who lovingly cares for His children.
The world may shake—but your foundation never has to.
