SPIRITUAL DRIFT

Spiritual drift rarely happens overnight. It begins with small compromises, neglected prayer, sporadic Bible reading, and a heart that slowly becomes more focused on the world than on Christ.

No one wakes up one morning intending to drift away from God. Like a boat without an anchor, we slowly move away from where we once stood if we fail to stay grounded in His Word.

Ask yourself:
• Is my prayer life as strong as it once was?
• Do I hunger for God's Word?
• Have I become comfortable with things that once convicted me?
• Am I pursuing Christ or merely maintaining appearances?

The danger of spiritual drift is that it often goes unnoticed until we find ourselves far from where God desires us to be. The good news is that God is always ready to restore those who turn back to Him with a sincere heart.

"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." — Hebrews 2:1

Don't drift. Stay anchored in Christ, committed to His Word, and sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
