Some church leaders don’t protect the flock—they control it.

In 3 John 1:9-10, the Apostle John exposed a man named Diotrephes because he “loves to be first.” He rejected godly counsel, spread malicious words, refused faithful believers, and even pushed people out of the church for showing kindness to others.

Spiritual leadership was never meant to be about pride, power, or position. True leaders point people to Christ—not to themselves.
A church can have a platform, programs, and popularity, yet still be missing humility and biblical love. God honors servant leadership, not selfish ambition.

Before seeking recognition, seek righteousness.
Before demanding authority, demonstrate humility.
Before controlling people, learn to care for them.
