The Substance of Our Provision: Joy and Peace in Believing

Abounding in God’s Provision Series

Scripture: Romans 15:13  – “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Devotion:  Paul says God desires to “fill you with all joy and peace in believing.” Joy and peace are not dependent upon outward circumstances but are divine provisions that come through faith. Joy gives us inward strength (Nehemiah 8:10), while peace calms our hearts in the midst of storms (Philippians 4:7). When we place our faith in God’s promises, He fills the empty places of our hearts with these two treasures. Joy and peace are the spiritual food that keep us steady and satisfied, even when the world around us is restless.
