DAY 8 — The Angel’s Announcement
Scripture:
“Fear not…”
— Luke 2:10 (KJV)
The first message that heaven delivered on the night of Christ’s birth was not a command to worship, but rather a gentle invitation to fear not. The arrival of Jesus signifies God’s answer to humanity’s deepest fears, encompassing fears of judgment, uncertainty about the future, and the fear of failure—all of which are silenced in the presence of the Savior.
The angel proclaimed “good tidings of great joy,” serving as a reminder that the gospel replaces fear with joy. Christmas is not meant to be a season of anxiety; instead, it is a time of assurance and peace. Christ came to bring tranquility where fear had previously held dominion over our hearts.
Whatever fears may grip your heart today, the message of Christmas continues to resonate: Fear not—Christ has come. This truth offers hope and comfort for all who choose to believe.
