Staying Faithful in Difficult Days
Scripture:
“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” — Revelation 2:10
Faithfulness is one of the greatest marks of spiritual maturity. In a world filled with compromise and inconsistency, God honors those who remain steadfast.
Living like Jesus is coming does not mean escaping hardship; it means enduring faithfully through it. Scripture never promised believers an easy journey. In fact, the closer we get to the Lord’s return, the darker the world may become spiritually.
It is easy to follow Christ when life is comfortable. True faith is revealed when obedience costs something. Faithfulness means continuing to pray when answers seem delayed. It means worshiping while hurting. It means obeying God when culture pressures you to compromise.
Many believers grow weary because they expected the Christian life to be easier. Yet Scripture repeatedly calls us to endure. Jesus is looking for faithful servants when He returns, not perfect people who never struggled.
God sees every quiet act of obedience. He sees the believer who keeps serving while battling discouragement. He sees the parent praying for prodigal children. He sees the Christian standing for truth in an ungodly environment. None of it is unnoticed.
One day our faithfulness will be rewarded. The struggles of this present world cannot compare with the glory that awaits those who endure.
