Small Steps, Lasting Growth
Scripture
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." — Philippians 1:6
We often expect dramatic change overnight.
God usually works differently.
Throughout Scripture, growth is described as a process. Seeds become harvests. Children become mature adults. Disciples gradually become faithful servants.
God delights in steady, faithful progress.
Sometimes we become discouraged because we aren't where we want to be.
Instead of celebrating how far we've come, we focus on how far we have left to go.
But every victory matters.
Every temptation resisted.
Every prayer offered.
Every act of obedience.
Every moment spent in God's Word.
These seemingly small choices become the building blocks of a transformed life.
Never underestimate what God can accomplish through daily faithfulness.
The God who began His work in you has not abandoned the project.
He is patiently shaping you into the image of Christ.
Trust His timing.
Growth may seem slow today, but one day you'll look back and realize how faithfully God has been changing you all along.
Prayer
Father, thank You for patiently working in my life. Help me remain faithful in the small steps of obedience and trust that You are completing the work You began in me. Amen.
Reflection Questions
What small step of obedience is God asking me to take today?
How have I seen God's transforming work in my life over the past year?
