Shane Lawson

Founder

Shane and his wife, Kelly have been married twenty-seven years. Born and raised in Bradley County, Shane is licensed and ordained to the work of the Gospel ministry and served as a local pastor for twenty-seven years.

Shane is a graduate of Liberty University. Hear his heart: "I have a passion to teach God's word to adults and children guiding them into a relationship with Jesus Christ, encouraging them in their spiritual growth, and equipping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ who impacts their community for Christ. I have learned through the trials of life, as Paul writes in Philippians 4:11 'in whatever state I am to be content' because I agree with Paul when he says in Philippians 1:21 'For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.' It is a privilege to serve in the ministry and see people believe in Christ being built up in their faith, bonding with other believers, breaking forth in passionate service so their lives will continually bring forth glory in God's name."

Shane has served as a church-planter and in church revitalization and has a heart specifically for missions and discipleship. He has served on multiple boards and organizations within the local community. He currently serves on both the Executive and Corporate Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ocoee Region. Shane has served on the Historical Committee for the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Shane has also partnered through His Vision Ministries to serve alongside Samaritan's Purse with Operation Christmas Child and Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls.

Shane is ultra-conservative and believes that our nation and most American churches are living in compromise. Shane has finished writing a book, “Staring in the Face of Comprise” that will be released later this year. This book aims to expose the subtle yet dangerous compromises that have taken root in the lives of many believers. With clarity and conviction, it reveals how countless Christians remain unaware that they are drifting from God’s truth. It is Pastor Shane’s earnest prayer that these pages will awaken the conscience, challenge the heart, and inspire those who desire to live by God’s standards to stand unwavering in the midst of perilous times.

Please pray for Shane as he works on his writing of another book, "ICHABOD: A Pastor's Nightmare."  This book is a gripping and deeply personal account of Pastor Shane's journey through the heartbreak, confusion, and spiritual warfare of serving a church where control, manipulation, and fear gradually overshadowed the lordship of Christ. Through firsthand experiences, Pastor Shane Lawson recounts the challenges of leading a congregation influenced by unhealthy power structures that had already driven away previous pastors and members. This book is more than a story of pain and loss—it is a testimony of faith, perseverance, and God's sustaining grace in the midst of adversity. With biblical insight and hard-earned wisdom, Ichabod serves as both a warning to churches drifting from Christ-centered leadership and an encouragement to pastors, leaders, and believers who have experienced church hurt, spiritual abuse, or the crushing weight of ministry conflict. Ultimately, it is a story of surviving the nightmare, remaining faithful to God's call, and finding hope beyond the darkness.
