Making Every Moment Matter
Scripture: Ephesians 5:16; 2 Peter 3:8
Time is one of God's greatest gifts. Unlike money, once time is spent, it cannot be recovered. That is why Paul urged believers to redeem the time because the days are evil.
Every day is an opportunity to serve God, encourage others, and grow spiritually. Yet many people live as though they have unlimited tomorrows. They postpone obedience, delay repentance, and neglect eternal priorities.
Peter reminds us that God's perspective on time differs from ours. What feels long to us is brief to Him. Nevertheless, our lives on earth are short.
Imagine standing before God and reviewing how you spent your days. Would you be satisfied with the investment? Time spent with God is never wasted. Time invested in people has eternal value. Time used for God's purposes produces lasting fruit.
This does not mean we must live frantically. It means we should live intentionally. Every day should be approached as a stewardship.
Ask yourself: What matters most? Are your priorities aligned with God's priorities? The enemy wants to distract us with things that don't matter. God calls us to focus on what lasts forever.
Today is a gift from God. Use it wisely. Serve faithfully. Love deeply. Pray earnestly. Share the gospel boldly.
You cannot change yesterday, and tomorrow is not guaranteed. But you can honor God with today.
Reflection Questions:
How are you investing the time God has given you?
What changes would help you prioritize eternal matters?
Prayer:
Father, help me redeem the time and live intentionally. Teach me to focus on eternal priorities and use each day for Your glory. May my life reflect wise stewardship of the time You've entrusted to me. Amen.
