Let Go and Trust God

Scripture: Mark 4:35-39
The disciples were experienced fishermen, yet they found themselves terrified by a storm. Waves crashed into their boat. The wind howled around them. Meanwhile, Jesus was asleep.

It wasn't the storm that revealed the disciples' weakness—it was their response to it. Fear convinced them they were abandoned. Faith would have reminded them that Jesus was still in the boat.

Many believers carry burdens they were never meant to bear. We try to control situations beyond our control. We cling to worries, fears, and anxieties as though holding on will somehow solve them.
Jesus arose and spoke three simple words: "Peace, be still." Instantly, the storm obeyed.

The same Savior who calmed the sea can calm your heart. Sometimes God calms the storm around us. Other times He calms the storm within us. Either way, His presence is enough.

Trust means releasing what you cannot control and placing it into God's hands. That is not weakness; it is wisdom. Faith does not deny the existence of storms. Faith trusts God in the middle of them.

Whatever burden you're carrying today, release it to the Lord. He is greater than every storm and stronger than every fear.

Reflection Questions:
What burden do you need to surrender to God?
How can you trust His presence in your current storm?

Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for trying to carry burdens You never intended me to bear. Help me trust You completely and rest in Your peace. Speak calmness into every storm I face. Amen.
