Guided by God’s Word

Scripture: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” – Psalm 119:105

Devotion:

God has not set us to wander through life unguided. Just as the traveler depends on some kind of lamp to guide his steps in darkness, so do we depend on the Word of God among this world full of confusion, deception, and sin.The Bible doesn’t always reveal the entire road ahead, but it always gives enough light for the step right in front of us. Each day, as we open Scripture, God reveals His will and strengthens us to walk in obedience.

Sometimes we want the complete map of our journey, but God knows that would overwhelm us. Instead, He calls us to trust Him daily. In His Word, one may find decision-making clarity or strength during temptation or comfort in sorrow. If uncertain today, go back to the Word. The more you let His truth shine whatsoever into your heart, the more confident will be your steps.



Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving me Your Word as my guide. Help me not to walk in darkness, but to trust the light You provide each day. Let my life reflect the truth of Your Word as I walk in obedience. Amen.
