When Gossip Enters, Unity Leaves

One of the greatest threats to a church is not persecution from the outside—it is division from within.

Rumors, criticism, and gossip have the power to damage relationships, weaken ministries, discourage believers, and hinder the work of God. What begins as a whispered conversation can quickly become a wildfire that spreads throughout an entire congregation.

Before repeating a story, ask:
• Is it true?
• Is it necessary?
• Is it honoring to Christ?
• Have I spoken directly to the person involved?

God calls His people to be builders, not destroyers. The church should be a place where grace is extended, truth is spoken in love, and unity is protected. When believers choose prayer over gossip and encouragement over criticism, the body of Christ becomes stronger.

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." — Ephesians 4:29

Instead of spreading rumors, spread hope.
Instead of criticism, offer encouragement.
Instead of division, pursue peace.

The enemy loves to divide, but Christ calls His church to unity.
Remember, if someone is gossiping to you, what makes you think they are not gossiping about you behind your back?
