Day 16 – Waiting on the Lord
Scripture:
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Waiting is often regarded as one of the most challenging disciplines in the practice of faith. In a world that prioritizes immediate responses and quick results, many struggle with the concept of waiting. However, Scripture reassures us that waiting on the Lord is never a waste of time. Instead, it offers a profound opportunity for spiritual growth and the strengthening of our faith.
During times of waiting, we learn to depend on God more fully. This process draws us closer to Him and deepens our trust in His perfect timing. Even when answers seem delayed, it is essential to remember that God is often at work in ways we cannot see, preparing our hearts for what He has in store for us in the future.
As you navigate this period of waiting, it is crucial to resist feelings of discouragement. God’s timing is always purposeful and intentional. He renews our strength not by hastening us forward but by teaching us to rely on Him and His plans for our lives.
