Returning to First Love

Scripture:
“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” (Revelation 2:4)

Devotion:
It is possible to be active in service yet empty in affection. The church at Ephesus had works, labor, and patience—but they had lost their love.
Renewal is not always about turning from sin—it is often about returning to love. Jesus desires relationship, not just routine.

When love fades, renewal calls us back to intimacy.

Reflection Questions:
Has my love for Christ grown cold or routine?
What did my relationship with Jesus look like when it was fresh?

Prayer:
Lord, rekindle my first love. Restore passion where there has been routine. Draw me back into close fellowship with You. Amen.
