Rest for the Weary Soul!

Matthew 11:28-29 – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Life’s pressures can feel unrelenting—constant noise, responsibilities, and expectations pulling in every direction. Yet Christ extends a gentle invitation: Come unto Me. His rest is not the absence of work, but the presence of peace. When we lay down our striving and sit quietly before the Savior, we find soul-rest that the world cannot imitate. Proper rest is found not in escape, but in embrace—the embrace of the One who understands our burdens.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I bring You my weariness, my worries, and my wandering heart. Teach me to rest—not merely in stillness of body, but in surrender of soul. Amen.
