Love That Sacrifices
Scripture: John 13:1
"Having loved His own...He loved them to the end."
Jesus demonstrated that genuine love is much more than an emotional feeling—it is a daily decision to serve.
Knowing betrayal awaited Him, Jesus still washed the disciples' feet. Knowing Peter would deny Him, He still loved him. Knowing the cross lay ahead, He willingly embraced it.
Christlike love continues when affection is difficult. It forgives when others fail. It serves without expecting recognition.
The Holy Spirit produces this kind of love in believers. As we remain connected to Christ, our hearts become increasingly shaped by His.
The greatest evidence of spiritual maturity is not knowledge, talent, or influence—but growing love for God and people.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me to love as You love. Help me serve others with humility, patience, and grace, even when it costs me something. Amen.
