Day 23 – Love That Abides
Scripture: John 15:4
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Abiding love is love that is sustained over time. Jesus calls believers to remain in Him—not for a moment, but continually and unwaveringly. Love flourishes where our connection to Christ remains constant and vibrant. Disconnection weakens our devotion; abiding in Him strengthens it and enables us to grow in faith.
Abiding involves daily dependence, ongoing trust, and intentional communion with God. It is an active practice, not a passive state. When our hearts remain connected to Christ, love becomes fruitful and steady, enabling us to be a source of encouragement and hope to those around us. This connection fosters spiritual growth and enriches our understanding of God’s love for us, allowing us to share that love with others. A strong abiding relationship with Christ transforms our lives and empowers us to live out our faith authentically.
