Living By Faith!

Scripture:
“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
In this single verse, Paul captures the heartbeat of the gospel. The good news of Christ reveals something marvelous: the righteousness of God. This is not only God’s holy character but the righteousness He gives to those who believe—freely, by grace, through faith.
Devotion:
The phrase “from faith to faith” shows the ongoing nature of our walk with God. Faith is not just the starting line—it is the entire race. We are saved by faith, and we are sustained by faith. We don’t just believe in Christ once—we live by trusting Him daily.
Paul quotes from Habakkuk 2:4 to emphasize this truth: “The just shall live by faith.” This became the rallying cry of the Reformation and remains the foundation of authentic Christian living. Faith is not a crutch for the weak—it is the God-ordained means by which we stand, grow, endure, and thrive.
Reflection:
Are you trying to live the Christian life in your strength? Come back to the simplicity and power of faith. Trust God’s Word. Rely on His grace. Walk in His righteousness. They shall live—not by feelings, not by works, but by faith.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for revealing Your righteousness through the gospel. Help me to live by faith—trusting not in myself but in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Strengthen my belief, deepen my walk, and let my life reflect Your grace each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
