Following King Jesus!

Luke 9:23 says, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." This verse speaks to the great sacrifices that we are called to make as followers of Christ.

Following Jesus isn't always easy. It requires us to put aside our own desires and ambitions and to fully surrender our lives to him. This can be a difficult and painful process, but it's one that is necessary if we want to truly follow Jesus.

Taking up our cross daily means being willing to make sacrifices for the sake of the gospel. It means putting the needs of others before our own, even if it means we have to give up something that is important to us. It means being willing to suffer for the sake of Christ, just as he suffered for us on the cross.

But despite the sacrifices that we are called to make, we can take heart in the fact that we are not alone. Jesus himself walked this path before us, and he knows the struggles and hardships that we face. He is with us every step of the way, giving us the strength and courage we need to persevere.



So if you're feeling overwhelmed by the sacrifices that following Jesus requires, take heart. Remember that Jesus is with you, and that he has promised to never leave you or forsake you. Trust in his love and grace, and know that the sacrifices you make for him are never in vain.
