Philippians 1:21

21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

In these words, Paul expresses the centrality of Christ in his life. "To live is Christ" encapsulates the idea that every aspect of Paul's existence, from his thoughts to his actions, is devoted to Christ. His life is intertwined with the mission, teachings, and love of Jesus.

Moreover, Paul's statement "to die is gain" reveals a deep understanding of the eternal perspective. For a believer, death is not a loss but a transition into the glorious presence of Christ. It signifies a gain of being united with the Savior in a way that transcends the limitations of earthly life.

This verse challenges us to examine our own priorities and perspectives. Do we live with a purpose that is centered on Christ? Are we prepared to view life and death through the lens of eternal gain in Christ? Paul's devotion inspires us to embrace a life that is wholly dedicated to Christ, finding fulfillment in Him both in this life and the life to come.
